Austrian Acadamy of Sciences (ÖAW)
The Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) is Austria's largest non-university institution for innovative basic research, knowledge exchange and the communication of new scientific findings.
It was founded in 1847 as a learned society and pursues the mission to "promote science in every way". To this effect, among other things, the ÖAW operates 27 research institutes in the field of innovative, application-open basic research, serves as a platform for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange and discussion, and - through its meanwhile more than 770 members and about 1,700 employees - advises politics and society. To promote the next generation of scientists, the ÖAW also awards various prices and offers scholarships for young academic talens. In order to manage the protection of the personal data of its employees, members, award winners and scholarship holders efficiently and in a resource-saving manner, the ÖAW - as well as in research - relies on the latest technologies in the field privacy and therefore uses the Compliance Cloud Data Protection module.
