Bundesrechenzentrum (BRZ)
Founded in 1997, the Bundesrechenzentrum (BRZ) is Austria's leading provider of IT services for the public sector.
Using state-of-the-art technologies such as predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, chatbots or blockchain, the BRZ is the main digitization partner of the public authorities and operates one of the largest data centers in the country. The applications developed and/or offered by the BRZ - e.g. the digital Company Register and the Land Register - directly facilitate the everyday life of Austrian citizens and accompany them from the application-free family allowance to the e-founding of their own company. As proven experts for innovation and information security, the colleagues of the BRZ were ideal development partners for features of NioBase, the forerunner of the Compliance Cloud's Data Protection Module, and also act as valuable source of inspiration for the development of the tamper-proof database Chroniql. At the "DigitalShift" conference for compliance and new technologies, organised by Akarion, the BRZ in the person of Matthias Lichtenthaler also contributed an exciting talk on the use of blockchain in public administration.
